Lander County VINE Arrest Check
Nevada replaced VINE with a new system called S.A.V.E., short for Survivors, Advocates, Victims and Enforcement. The Lander County Sheriff's Office points to it for custody status and criminal case details. So S.A.V.E. now handles the notifications VINE once did. Searches for a Lander County arrest still lead many people toward the old name. That wording is outdated. Registration with S.A.V.E. began on August 28, 2025, and notifications started the same day. VINE stopped taking new registrations that morning, and its search tools plus notices ended the following day. Anyone who relied on Nevada VINE had to register again through S.A.V.E.
Search Nevada S.A.V.E.
S.A.V.E. searches people in Nevada custody or under supervision. Enter the fullest name you have, or use an ID when one is known. The portal expects a hands-on visit, verifying each user before results appear.
- Open the S.A.V.E. search screen and select the name or ID method.
- For a name, enter first name followed by last name. Try the full spelling before a partial search.
- For a partial query, enter at least the first three letters of the first and last names separated by a space.
- Complete the CAPTCHA and review all possible matches instead of choosing by name alone.
- Compare the identifier, custody information, and other displayed details before opening a record.
- Contact the listed facility or Lander County detention staff when a match is uncertain or time-sensitive.
Multiple matches call for patience. The same name can repeat, spellings can vary, and aliases can muddy the results. An ID sorts it out fast. A blank result has limits too. The person may have left custody, sit in another system, or not yet appear in the periodic state update. For the sheriff roster, the county booking record, and the official booking photo policy, the Lander County recent arrests hub is the right stop, since S.A.V.E. answers a different question.
S.A.V.E. Custody Result Fields
A S.A.V.E. result is a custody clue. It won't list every arrest in Lander County. Read the live labels carefully, since the state can change the display.
| Information | What it can establish |
|---|---|
| Name | The identity spelling attached to a possible state-system match. |
| Offender or state ID | A stronger locator than name alone when confirming the person. |
| Custody or supervision status | The state system’s periodically updated status clue. |
| Facility or supervising context | Where to direct a follow-up when shown. |
| Notification option | A route to register for future custody changes. |
| Booking photo | No Lander County booking-photo service is identified in S.A.V.E. |
| Court disposition | Not supplied as a substitute for the proper court docket. |
A name can vanish from a current custody search once the person is released. That does not erase an old alert registration. State guidance notes the registration still has value. The same person may land back in custody at a Lander County or state facility later. So one part of the system answers who is locked up right now. Another quietly keeps watch.
Nevada’s Current Custody Screen
The official Nevada S.A.V.E. search walks users through a name or ID lookup and posts a state warning that its results refresh on a schedule.

The live state screen is what governs search steps and status.
Register Lander County Alerts
You can register for Lander County alerts with or without an account. An account helps you manage registrations over time. Going account-free is faster for a one-off notice, though, so let the current portal prompts lead rather than any old VINE phone and PIN script.
- Find the confirmed person in S.A.V.E. and choose the notification or registration option.
- Select the offered contact method and enter accurate details that you control.
- Complete any verification step sent by the state system.
- Choose the available custody events for which notices are offered.
- Save the registration confirmation and keep contact details current.
- If the person cannot be found, call S.A.V.E. support or the relevant facility before assuming no custody exists.
Call S.A.V.E. any hour at 866-393-5445. Prefer email for account issues at NVSave@ag.nv.gov, which carries a three business day response target. For a fast custody answer, the phone line beats email.
Note: Alert delivery supplements direct verification and should not be the sole plan when a release or transfer creates an immediate safety concern.

Why Nevada Retired VINELink
Why did Nevada drop VINELink? The Attorney General framed S.A.V.E. as offender-based, while VINE tracked incidents. A single S.A.V.E. registration can cover any future incidents tied to that same offender. An old VINE incident registration could not do that. So keeping one was no substitute once the switch happened.
Older VINE materials described name and offender-number searches, an optional date-of-birth check, phone registration with a four-digit PIN, email signup, and alerts for release, transfer, escape, or death. Those mechanics belong to the retired system. Treat them as history, not current instructions, even if a sheriff's page or stale bookmark still points at a VINELink address. The legacy Nevada VINELink route is useful only for that transition context.

Treat this page as a historical snapshot of Nevada's old VINELink service rather than a starting point for a current Lander County custody check.
Fresh Lander County Bookings
Where does a fresh Lander County arrest show up first? Sometimes it lands in the sheriff's Citizen RIMS arrest route. Sometimes it sits on the incarcerated-person roster. Often it shows in neither spot until processing finishes, since Citizen RIMS updates on a periodic cycle rather than a live feed. S.A.V.E. also refreshes on its own schedule, and no public document states how long Lander bookings take to travel between the county and state systems.
Start with the county roster for a new event. Read the status field closely. "In Custody" is the current signal, though lag is always possible. A "Released" row means the booking record stays on the roster after the person is gone, because the system keeps old entries until they age out. Once a match looks solid, S.A.V.E. adds state-facing status and alerts.
Still urgent? Call Lander County Detention Center at 775-635-1489. Sheriff administration answers at 775-635-1100, and dispatch or non-emergency service is 775-635-5161. The Arrested Today workflow walks through checking one calendar date in the official county arrest system.
Limits of a VINE Arrest Check
S.A.V.E. has firm boundaries. It is not a federal locator. Someone held by the Bureau of Prisons belongs in the BOP Inmate Locator instead. ICE runs its own detainee locator. U.S. Marshals pretrial custody can land a person in facilities that never touch a county roster. A blank S.A.V.E. result proves nothing about any of those systems.
The Nevada Department of Corrections search also serves a different crowd. It covers the state-prison system, generally after sentencing or placement. A Lander County arrest from yesterday, held pretrial at the Detention Center, will usually not appear there. Flip it around, though, and a person sent to state prison may show in NDOC long after the county roster drops the local custody line.
Photos are another gap. S.A.V.E.E. is not a photo search, and the current Lander County Citizen RIMS setup disables inmate and arrest photos alike. The sheriff lists no native jail app with its own photo feed. The sheriff's Facebook page posts official announcements, but the office does not commit to a regular booking photo schedule.
Note: Use each system for its custody stage, and never treat one empty database as proof that no record exists elsewhere.
Verify Lander County Status
A notification is only as good as the identity match and the timing behind it. Confirm the full name and ID first. Note the facility or supervision detail attached to the record. If the state status clashes with the county roster, contact the facility. Explain both timestamps or result states. For the underlying criminal case, the appropriate Justice Court or the Eleventh Judicial District Court shows what was filed. It also shows how the case was resolved.
- Custody status
- The system’s current indication of where or whether a person is held.
- Transfer
- A move between facilities or authorities that may trigger an alert.
- Supervision
- A state-managed status outside ordinary county jail intake.
- Notification
- An automated message about an offered custody change.
- Disposition
- The court’s later result, which a custody alert does not establish.
Confirm the final outcome of any Lander County case through the court directly. A S.A.V.E. notification only reflects custody status, not what a judge later decides.
